Archaeologists from Indiana DNR State Parks & Reservoirs and University of Southern Indiana will hold a public excavation at the Col. Jones Home at Lincoln State Park on September 19, 2009. We are investigating the front yard of the Col. Jones home where Abe worked as a boy. Join us to observe and even help out with the excavation. This is a rare chance to see a real archaeological investigation of Lincoln's boyhood neighborhood. Interpreters will be available for individuals.
